Want to get your flash fiction edited by the managing editor of Apex Magazine? In this very special live workshop, Rebecca E. Treasure, will edit flash fiction submissions of up to 1000 words from five workshop participants, providing tips and practical feedback that any writer can learn from.
This unique live workshop is a rare opportunity to:
- experience an editor’s feedback firsthand,
- get a behind the scenes view into how an editor approaches a submission and what she looks for,
- see your own work from an editor’s point of view before submitting it.
How It Works
Limited Spots Available For Edited Submissions: There are five spots available to submit your flash fiction of 1000 words or less for editing. They’ll be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you purchase this option, you can choose to remain anonymous or not, and to engage in the live editing session with Rebecca, or not. This option is $59.
If you purchase this option, you’ll also have unlimited access to the video recording starting 24 hours after the completion of the live workshop.
SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN JUNE 5. Submissions received after June 5 but before June 10 will still be edited but aren’t guaranteed to receive feedback as comprehensive as those received by June 5.
Two additional, scholarship, zero-cost spots are available for the submission option. Please reach out to us at workshops @ reachyourapex.com if you are experiencing financial hardship. Priority will be given to inquiries from LGBTQ, BIPOC, and Disabled people.
Unlimited Live Audience Registration: Unlimited audience seats are available to attend live, participate in chat, and submit questions. If you purchase this option you won’t be submitting your work for live-editing. This option is $15.
