Premee Mohamed shared a great personal anecdote when I asked her about Reach Your Apex creating her instructor profile. As a junior high student, she was on several episodes of a local kids’ quiz show called “Hi-Q!”
Somehow, I became even more impressed with Premee.
Around these parts, we know Premee as one of the best instructors we have. She’s also a talented writer. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, she’s won the Nebula, World Fantasy, and Aurora awards. She’s been a finalist for the Hugo, Ignyte, Locus, British Fantasy, and Crawford awards. She’s the writer-in-residence at the Edmonton Public Library and is an assistant editor at the short fiction audio venue Escape Pod.
In 2023, I finally had the opportunity to publish Premee when Lesley Conner and I invited her to be an anchor author for our Robotic Ambitions anthology. Of course, I’d been reading her short work for years…as you can see, there’s no shortage of it.
