One tip I often give writers is that I encourage them to seek organization in their professional dealings. Personally, I’m not the most organized individual, but I have things together enough to get what needs to be done. The primary tool I use is a calendar.
To that end, we are pleased to share with our site visitors the Reach Your Apex Event Calendar. It’s easy to use and has the ability to add our events to whatever calendar tool you use. There’s also a built-in timezone tool that our friends on the other side of the hemisphere will appreciate. You can also subscribe to the calendar, which is a great way to never miss an offering by your favorite instructor.
Here’s a look at the calendar.

The other site news we want to share is that we are now offering a handful of asynchronous courses. Generally, these will function via Google Classroom (for now) where an instructor will give students weekly writing assignments. The students will complete the work, submit via Classroom, and the instructor will review and give feedback on the work. Unlike our one-shot workshops, these asynchronous courses will not always have a live video component, but they do allow for a much deeper learning experience.
We have one asynchronous course scheduled (Nick Mamatas’s “The Architecture of Fiction”) with courses from Gemma Files and Tim Waggoner in the works.
Certainly, these more in-depth courses are more expensive than one-shot workshops. That is why we started offering AfterPay. The AfterPay service allows customers to pay for purchases in four installments, thus lessening the financial impact.
