Welcome to the weekly community drabble! Every Thursday we announce the week’s theme via email. You have until the following Wednesday at midnight U.S. Eastern time to submit your story. It must be exactly 100 words and written to the theme. We’ll use a Google doc to count words, so check your word count in a Google doc, please. These diabolical restrictions are what make it fun!
We’ll share and celebrate all the submissions here on our website and on our social media (for now, our Bluesky account).
That’s it! This is strictly a fun, low-key, low-stakes way for us all to keep writing, hone our brevity and enjoy some community. No money, no competition, no voting. Just glory.
Important note: Keep in mind that while Reach Your Apex does not take or claim ANY rights in your submitted drabble, the sheer act of us posting it here and on social media means that the first electronic English rights in your piece will no longer be available for you to offer to anyone else.
